In-person classes: $250 USD per hour, two-hour minimum ($500 USD). Google Meet classes: $150 USD per hour, one-hour minimum ($150 USD). Confirm your private or group lesson total with Mari Luna before booking.
Group lessons may qualify for an individually agreed discount. Discuss your group, lesson length and final quote with Mari Luna; no discount is automatic and no per-person group rate is implied.
For classes longer than five hours, ask Mari Luna about a discounted quote before booking. No discount is automatic.
Travel from Downey, California
Travel within 25 miles of Downey, California is included. Mari Luna can discuss travel beyond 25 and up to 100 miles, with an additional fee quoted and agreed before booking. No fixed per-mile charge is offered. Beyond 100 miles, ask about Google Meet or a lesson in Mari Luna’s kitchen instead.
Plan your lesson with Mari Luna
For in-person lessons, the needed equipment, aprons and utensils are provided—just bring yourself and your enthusiasm. Recipes are part of the lesson. Tell Mari Luna which empanadas or techniques interest you and raise ingredient, allergy or dietary questions in advance. For Google Meet, confirm your ingredient and equipment preparation list with Mari Luna if you plan to cook along; no physical kit is shipped.
Special requests
Interested in another cooking topic or dietary preference? Ask Mari Luna about a personalized lesson. Availability, scope, and pricing are agreed separately.
Payment arrangements
Confirm the booking with Mari Luna beforehand; payment is made at the lesson. Payment options are cash, Zelle, Venmo, and Visa or Mastercard through Square. For Google Meet lessons, arrange the electronic payment method directly with Mari Luna. This website does not collect lesson payments.

Share your preferred format and date, the number of participants, your location if Mari Luna would travel, and what you would like to learn. Include any ingredient or accessibility questions. An inquiry does not reserve a class or confirm availability.
Review your details and send the inquiry using the contact form. An inquiry is not a confirmed booking or payment.
Please notify Mari Luna at least 24 hours before your scheduled lesson if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Personal use & confidentiality
Share the delicious results; keep Mari Luna’s recipes in confidence.
For your own participation, you agree to use Mari Luna-provided nonpublic recipes, handouts and instruction identified as confidential only for personal, noncommercial cooking. You may prepare food for yourself, family and friends.
Without Mari Luna’s prior written permission, do not copy, email, forward, publish, sell or otherwise redistribute those materials, disclose the confidential instruction, or use them for a business or paid teaching. Sharing the food you make is different from sharing the instructional materials.
Photography, videotaping or recording during lessons requires Mari Luna’s prior written approval. This includes audio, video and screen capture of the instruction or materials, whether in person or through Google Meet.
These conditions do not claim copyright over mere ingredient lists or general cooking methods. Publicly available information and general cooking skills are not treated as Mari Luna’s confidential materials.
Your inquiry acknowledgment applies only to you and does not replace the separate personal-use and confidentiality agreement handled by Mari Luna. Each participant must complete and agree to that form before teaching begins or materials are shared. You do not agree on behalf of absent group participants. Ask Mari Luna for written permission if you would like a different use.
