Mari Luna is a Los Angeles mother of two, a passionate home cook, and someone who finds joy in bringing people together around food. Her love of trying new flavors and sharing empanadas with family and friends is the inspiration behind HOT PANADAS.

Her world also includes nature, family, travel, learning, and a growing commitment to holistic well-being. To Mari Luna, a memorable meal can be the beginning of a deeper conversation about how we care for ourselves and one another.

How do I place an order?

Send an inquiry through the form or contact Mari Luna directly. Sending a message does not confirm an order; Mari Luna must confirm details and availability.

Can I pick up my order or have it delivered?

Discuss pickup or delivery directly with Mari Luna before your order is accepted. This website does not confirm a pickup location, delivery area, schedule or delivery availability.

Can I ask about catering, including corporate events, or a custom order?

Yes—tell Mari Luna about your occasion, preferred date, quantities and any special requests. Business or corporate catering inquiries can include office gatherings, team meetings and company celebrations. Catering and custom requests are subject to her confirmation, availability and applicable preparations. An inquiry does not reserve an event.

How much are the empanadas?

The current listed price is $6 USD each. Prices are subject to change. Confirm current pricing with Mari Luna before your order is accepted. Calculator amounts are estimates; taxes, delivery and other charges are not included.

How does Buy 5, get the 6th free work?

Six empanadas cost $30 USD under this offer. The calculator includes free empanadas in the total quantity: for every six, five are paid and one is free. The dozen offer uses the same calculation, not an additional discount. Confirm varieties and availability with Mari Luna.

Can I combine the welcome coupon with another offer?

No. Code HOTPANADAS is a separate Buy 1, Get 1 Free offer for new customers, once per customer, with a maximum of one free empanada. One offer per order; it cannot be combined with Buy 5, get the 6th free. It expires January 1, 2027 at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. Mari Luna confirms eligibility and redemption; the website does not redeem coupons.

How do I pay, and how will I get a receipt?

Payment is arranged in person with Mari Luna: cash, Zelle, Venmo, or Visa and Mastercard through Square. Confirm your preferred method with her. Receipts are digital only, by text message or email. This website does not process payments or send receipts. Class bookings are confirmed beforehand; payment is at the lesson. For Google Meet, arrange an electronic payment method directly with Mari Luna.

Can I order or pay online? Are there mobile apps?

Online ordering, online payments and Android/iOS apps are in development. They are not available through this website. For now, contact Mari Luna to arrange your order and pay in person.

Where can I check ingredients and allergens?

Ask Mari Luna about ingredients, allergens, dietary needs and preparation before your order is accepted. Recipes may be proprietary, but ingredient and allergen questions should always be discussed. Menu names and illustrative photos do not establish ingredients, verified dietary suitability or freedom from cross-contact.

Can I take an empanada class with Mari Luna?

Yes—ask about private or group lessons at your location, in Mari Luna’s kitchen, or through Google Meet. In person: $250 USD/hour with a two-hour minimum. Google Meet: $150 USD/hour with a one-hour minimum. Group lessons and classes longer than five hours may receive a separately agreed discount. Confirm the booking and quote with Mari Luna; payment is at the lesson. Travel within 25 miles of Downey is included; travel beyond 25 up to 100 miles requires an agreed additional quote.

Do classes include a personal-use agreement?

Yes. Each participant completes Mari Luna’s separate personal-use and confidentiality agreement before teaching begins. You may cook for yourself, family and friends; sharing Mari Luna’s nonpublic instructional materials or using them commercially requires her prior written permission. The inquiry checkbox acknowledges your own terms only, not those of absent participants.

What should I bring to a class?

For an in-person lesson, the needed equipment, aprons and utensils are provided—just bring yourself. For Google Meet, agree on your preparation list with Mari Luna if you will cook along; remote materials are not shipped. Discuss any ingredient or allergy concerns beforehand.

May I photograph or record the lesson?

Only with Mari Luna’s prior written approval. Without it, photography, screenshots, audio/video recording and screen recording of the lesson or its materials are not allowed, in person or through Google Meet.
